1. Qualifications

Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Current enrollment: Be an international student currently enrolled in a university-level institution.
  2. Interest: Demonstrate a strong interest in studying at the NCCU International Summer School (ISS).
  3. Passion for storytelling: Have talent in photography, videography, or filmmaking, coupled with enthusiasm for documenting daily life and travel experiences.
  4. Selection process: Submit a personal statement, CV, and portfolio, which will be carefully reviewed by the NCCU ISS Team.
  5. Commitment: Successfully complete the video missions during NCCU ISS 2026.
2. Scholarship Quota                         Two scholarships are available for the 2026 program.
3. Scholarship Coverage
  1. Full tuition waiver for any courses taken in NCCU ISS 2026.
  2. Upon successful completion of the video mission, the awardee will also receive reimbursement for accommodation and excursion fees.
    • This means awardees will receive a total scholarship covering 92% of program costs.
4. Mission Requirement

Produce a video (minimum of 8 minutes) that documents your journey during NCCU ISS 2025 and your experiences in Taiwan.
Your video must include:

  • Highlights of your daily life at NCCU and interactions with fellow students.
  • Cultural exploration, such as excursions or activities showcasing Taiwan’s traditions, food, or landmarks.
  • Personal reflections on your learning experiences and time in the program.
5. Key Dates
  1. Application period: January 25, 2026 – March 30, 2026
  2. Result announcement: March 24, 2025
6. Application Process   

Submit the following documents via email to nccuiss@nccu.edu.tw:

  • CV
  • Personal statement: Explain your interest in filmmaking, storytelling, and the NCCU ISS program.
  • Portfolio: Include past work showcasing your skills in video editing, filmmaking, or other relevant projects. Highlight anything that demonstrates your capability to complete the mission.
7. 2026 Scholarship Awardee 

 

National Chengchi University (NCCU) is excited to welcome participants to ISS 2025. However, we wish to inform applicants from Mainland China (PRC passport holders) of an important update regarding entry permit requirements. 

政大誠摯歡迎大家加入 2025 年國際暑期課程 (ISS)。然而，基於入臺證政策，我們希望提醒來自中國大陸（持有PRC護照）的學員關於入境要求的相關規定。
1. Updated Government RegulationAccording to recent updates from the Immigration Agency (移民署), individuals entering Taiwan for "short-term professional exchange (短期專業交流)" purposes—such as students participating in the NCCU ISS program—must declare a daily schedule during their stay. The schedule must align directly with the stated purpose of the trip. Non-compliance may result in the rejection of the entry permit application.
根據移民署最新規定，以「短期專業交流」為目的申請來臺的人士（參與 ISS 的學員即屬於此範疇），申請時必須提交每日行程表（此部分會由政大代為提交）。行程內容須與此次來臺的主要目的相符，如包含無關行程，可能影響入臺證的申請結果。
2. NCCU ISS Schedule Requirements

To comply with relevant regulations and internal management requirements, students holding a PRC passport may only enroll in the Academic Plus Program, which requires full participation for the entire six-week duration. Shorter periods of attendance are not permitted.

為配合相關規定及本校內部管理需求，並確保學員在政大獲得完整且一致的學習體驗，持中國大陸護照之學員，2026 年國際夏日學院僅開放報名為期六週的 Academic Plus Program，不受理短期參與。

Refund Policies

The registration fee is excepted, which is non-refundable once applicants successfully submit their documents. Each type of fee has different deadlines in terms of cancellation, please check the refund policy for further details. All cancellation forms must be submitted to the OIC before or on the deadlines.

Planned excursions will not be refunded if students do not attend.
